Created to make it easier to discover what’s happening locally.
The original idea came from Zachary while he was driving with Zoe; they love going to garage sales and found themselves following a cardboard sign on light poles in Bairnsdale. Zachary envisioned an event discovery platform to make it easier to find events within the local area.
Living in a regional town, Zachary and Zoe are always looking for things to do, whether that is going to a market, happy hour, mini golf, live music, food trucks and a good old-fashioned retail sale. By creating Townloop, we haven’t only helped the community find these events; we have also found more events we are interested in.
The main goal of the founders in creating Townloop was “keep it simple by design”.
The founders' mission for Townloop is to create long-lasting connections within the community by bringing communities together, sharing stories, having a laugh, and celebrating moments with friends and families. Lastly, we want to make it easier to find events in their local area and beyond.
Our vision for Townloop is to become the app everyone turns to when they're visiting a new area, going away for the weekend, or simply looking for something to do on the weekend.
Townloop is built to make local events easier to discover, whether it’s a market, live music, sport, a fundraiser, a community gathering or something happening for just a few hours.
